This is exciting news for fans in Brazil, especially those interested in Brazilian cinema. Following the success of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, the distributor California Filmes announced on its Facebook that it will release the film Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu), directed by Hayao Miyazaki . The distributor announced the release date for The Wind Rises in Brazil: February 28th .

The story takes place near World War II, where young Jiro Horikoshi dreams of designing an entire airplane. In the midst of his pursuit of this goal, he survives the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and meets his wife. Horikoshi became known for creating the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the fearsome fighter used by the Japanese navy.

The Studio Ghibli anime was well-received by critics, receiving an Annie Award nomination and being shortlisted for the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature.
The Wind Rises premiered in Japan in July and grossed over $110 million (R$ 255 million), according to Box Office Mojo.
